Resumen

El propósito del estudio fue identificar si existe relación entre la comunicación interna organizacional y el compromiso laboral en empresas ecuatorianas. Dado que la inmediatez de la información y los cambios del mercado inesperados conlleva a las empresas contar con una comunicación eficaz y fluida para transmitir con precisión una situación. El compromiso laboral de los empleados facilita alcanzar competitividad empresarial. Esta investigación fue no experimental, transversal, cuantitativo, relacional y descriptivo. Los instrumentos de medición fueron los validados por Rhee & Moon; y Schaufeli et al. para medir la comunicación interna y compromiso laboral respectivamente. Estos instrumentos se sometieron al proceso de doble traducción. La prueba piloto realizada fue de 50 observaciones. La encuesta se aplicó a 380 trabajadores de mandos medios de empresas públicas y privadas productoras de bienes y servicios ubicadas en Guayaquil. Las pruebas estadísticas validaron los supuestos de normalidad, análisis del Alpha de Cronbach, confirmatorio y evaluación del modelo estructural. Los resultados indicaron la existencia de una relación positiva entre la comunicación interna organizacional y el compromiso laboral en el contexto poblacional ecuatoriano, coincidiendo con estudios realizados en otros contextos. En sentido práctico, el estudio contribuye a determinar factores claves para mejorar la competitividad de las empresas de América Latina y el Caribe.
